Surprisingly I’ve only just spotted Zattoo which has been around for a year or so broadcasting free streams of TV channels which are defined by your location however I think it caters more for European channels.

You only have to look at the row between the ISPs and the BBC to see that the iPlayer has been a huge success with users. I was particularly pleased with the move to a simple flash interface and I watch the odd thing I’ve missed this way.

TVCatchup.com is a fairly new service which allows users to watch content from 23 free-to-air UK TV channels which includes all the major channels, BBC, ITV, Channel 4, Channel 5, etc.

The BBC iPlayer has now been relaunched with a new Flash based website although without much fanfare it has to be said.
This service allows you to watch a selection of BBC programmes from the last 7 days much like the BBC Radio Listen Again service which has been around for some time.
