Free Online Photoshop
Adobe have released Photoshop Express, a free online image editing, hosting and sharing service.
Whilst it has the Photoshop name, don’t come expecting a fully featured image editor or even a basic version of Photoshop. This is a very stripped down image editor, mostly for performing simple corrections, tweaks and effects. Don’t let that put you off, it’s still a very nicely presented tool and would be very useful for someone who just wants to get their digital snaps online and possibly make a few basic changes to them for sharing with friends and family. They are currently offering 2Gb of free storage too which is nice, I may well sign up just to have an image host with handy tools for this website.
I can see why they have kept it simple, they are consciously aiming at the social networking crowd and this will no doubt boost the popularity. There are better options around or on the way for more complex image editing tasks but this gets a thumbs up for ease of use.
