Free Online TV - Joost
Joost if you haven’t already heard about it, and if you haven’t you must have been living under an internet rock, is the latest venture from the founders of Skype and Kazaa.
Joost is a system for distributing video content via p2p technology. The upshot of this is you get free TV channels/shows to watch on your PC. The image quality is actually very good and streaming seems fairly stable. The content however is a bit hit and miss particularly if you live outside of the US which seems to have most of the best channels.
Its worth a try if you are bored and fancy something to watch, if only to see where things are heading. Joost may be one of the first big players in this market (aside from the commercial channel offerings) but it definitly won’t be the last.
