Free Audio Horror Fiction

It’s Hallowe’en, so a horror based link seemed appropriate.

There are some great podcasts around and Pseudopod is one of the finest you can treat your ears to. A weekly horror fiction magazine with one short piece of horror fiction being read for you each episode.
The quality of fiction is pretty high, I’ve not yet listened [...]

It’s amazing! It’s stupendous! It’s ASTONISHING!

The First Rule Of Usenet is…YOU DON’T TALK ABOUT USENET!

Ok so who was it?
Looks like the lumbering, hairy knuckled, copyright infringer smashing hand of the RIAA is heading towards Usenet by taking a first shot at the provider usenet.com. I’d never heard of usenet.com but I guess it makes sense for them to take down a provider with the same name [...]

This Week I Am Mostly Reading…

Its a rather disturbing collection of short stories tied together with an overall plot about writers being invited to a three month writing retreat. I’m not convinced by the plot holding it [...]

TV-Links Shut Down

Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!www.tv-links.co.uk has been shut down after raids led to the arrest of a 26 year old man from Cheltenham.
Since tv-links was only ever linking to content on other sites which I might add is still available, if this man is charged it could set a rather worrying precedent. Can I get in trouble for linking [...]

Portal: The Flash Version

Superb…if you don’t have the game or have finished it then head here and play this briliant flash based version. The same gameplay mechanics in a 2D rather than 3D world. It works surprisingly well.

Speedy thing goes in. Speedy thing comes out.

This week I have been mostly playing Portal. In internet terms, this game is ‘made of win awesome’.
The post title is in reference to the conservation of momentum through the portals if you were wondering.
I love this game.

D+PAD Magazine

A quality free online games magazine. Had a read through and the standard really is quite high, I’ll be very impressed if they can keep this up and get regular issues out.

Mmmmmm Cocaine…..
