Almost a month in
Well what can I say, I’m just into my 4th week of Homedad duties and although I’ve never been busier, I’ve also never been quite so happy.
As I hoped, I now feel much more relaxed and happy in my new role having done it for a while and this means I can just spend more of my energy enjoying my time with Sophie instead of worrying about what I actually need to do.
Swimming is now a firm favourite and we both thouroughly enjoy every minute of it. We often go for a walk afterwards to see the ducks or just head home so Sophie can sleep it off.
The local playgroup whilst I found it difficult at first has been worth the effort. The other people there are very friendly and they’ve even stopped crossing themselves and holding up crucifixes when I enter the room so I guess they are getting used to me too. 
I really should keep this more up to date, I had high hopes of writing every day but unfortunately
a) I’m not that great at writing and
b) I just find too many other things to do both with Sophie and when I get a break from her.
I’m off as Sophie is crawling around squealing and I’m sure would love some attention but more probably would love this laptop which she is eyeing up.
