Week 2
Well so much for keeping the blog updated, it all started with good intentions and then life got in the way as usual.
I am generally getting much more used to everything now and am slowly venturing out more and more as I get comfortable with Sophie’s routines.
Last week we started swimming lessons which was great fun. Sophie loves the water and its a nice relaxing way to spend the morning so I’ll be looking forward to that each week.
I also checked out the local playgroup, which was nice for Sophie but mildly terrifying for me. Seems nice and friendly though so we will probably be making it a regular morning. Its nice for Sophie to get out and play with other children and I get a cup of tea made for me :O)
This week I have mostly been reading Temeraire by Naomi Novik. Its a great historical fantasy story set around the Napoleonic period with the added bonus of dragons. A surprisingly entertaining read which I believe is the author’s debut. If you fancy something easy going which moves at a fair pace then you can’t go far wrong with this.
This week I have mostly been listening to the podiobook Earthcore by Scott Sigler. I love audiobooks so having free books via podcast is great. If you like audiobooks and trashy scifi then check this out, it’s not going to blow anyones mind but its great entertainment and storytelling.
Off to hit things with sticks.
